The work in dust comprises “made objects,” whether crafted by Greg, assembled from manufactured or branded materials, found, or created by others. Through Greg’s practice of collecting, these objects are brought together, transfusing their presences and layers of meaning. His approach is rooted in profound care and thoughtful consideration for how these relics carry memory and enable acts of remembrance. Each artifact bears his resounding touch, enveloping wonder and intention into a poetic interplay of time and material.

While many people discard such items or sell them at garage sales, Greg’s childhood relics were lovingly preserved by his mother. Some pieces have traveled with him through the many chapters of his life, forming the foundation of his collections. Their presentation in this timeline considers the physical accumulations of his lifetime as elements in a universal story about time. In a world of things, they blur the line between memory and art, between value and sentiment.

dust invites viewers to grapple with questions about the cost of memory and the meaning of value. Every piece in the show is for sale, each carrying its own story and price. How much are you willing to pay for a memory? How do we assign worth to objects that carry the weight of sentiment and history?
