Join Us for SHED Projects' 1-Year Celebration!

We’re excited to invite you to our special celebration event on Sunday, November 10, from 4-6 pm as we commemorate SHED Projects' first year in Cleveland and our official transition to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!

Enjoy light refreshments and get an exclusive first look at the second round of our Editions series. Eleven participating artists have each created an edition of 11 unique pieces, with all sales directly benefiting SHED Projects' 2025 programming. These editions will be available first to attendees of the event, and then go online to the general public starting Monday, November 11. Your support helps us continue our commitment to compensating artists.

Since our beginnings in 2021 in New Orleans, we’ve supported 68 artists and, in our first year in Cleveland, we hosted 17 programs, supported 14 artists, launched our One Piece Viewing series, held two residencies, and published a novel. This year, we’ve collaborated on exciting projects like a two-person exhibition 40 years in the making, a music event in our yard, a partnership with the International Association of Veterinary Social Workers, and the installation of our first permanent sculpture at the house.

We’re also proud of our ongoing preservation of the historic Mallo-Donahue house, built in 1857. From rebuilding the collapsed sandstone foundation to restoring exterior redwood and cedar surfaces, we’ve made significant progress. Inside, we’ve uncovered the home’s original layout and upgraded the lighting and utilities in our galleries—all while honoring the balance of preserving history and promoting contemporary art.

Looking ahead, we’re planning a major phase of renovations in the spring, along with a full schedule of exhibitions and visiting artists. Our fundraising efforts will support these initiatives, expand our outdoor spaces for community and artist engagement, and continue our mission to provide direct artist support.
