Hinsdale Plum No. 605 (Podiatrist Collection)
The Podiatrist Collection by Jade Yumang
Edition of 11
This limited-edition series of hand-sewn plush feet humorously references the building’s former life as a podiatrist office—where many guests recall coming for X-rays and surgeries.
Each piece is hand-dyed and features fabric printed with a custom pattern inspired by a 1960s tile design known as “gay spatter.” The pattern was digitally reinterpreted and printed on cotton using archival ink. Drawing on themes of queer domesticity and mid-century horror films steeped in queer anxiety, each plush includes a matching soft kitchen knife.
A playful and pointed reflection on memory, place, and coded histories.Plush fabric foot and knife by Jade Yumang
